The start of a new year often means that we are leaving our old ways behind us and emerging into a new thing; a new way of life that would help us do better, feel better, look better, you get the point.
The problem is that we try to make these major changes on our own and it doesn’t work, why? Because it’s God who ultimately creates the change within us that brings about the new thing in our lives.
When we are walking with God, we receive His guidance firsthand so that we do not stray too far to the left or to the right and even if we do stumble and fall, He is there to pick us up, dust us off and set us back on the right path.
If you have been trying to do a new thing in your life without success then I dare you to try it with God. Listen to this message inspired by Isaiah 43: 18-19 which says:
“Do not remember the former things, Nor consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing, Now it shall spring forth; Shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness And rivers in the desert.”
Get your pen and your notepad ready and prepare to write some notes that you can reference throughout this week or this year to help you on your path to a changed life.
