Keeping Up With The Jaunes

You could imagine my surprise when I flipped through this month’s issue of Vogue magazine and saw my In The Jaune editorial looking up at me from the page. I thought: how could Vogue bite my idea like that?

I know what you’re thinking: “ummmm pipe down Sandra, Vogue ain’t lookin’ at you.” But consider that I had this idea from Fall of last year, it’s in my editorial calendar from last year and I published it first in January. If that’s not a bite, then I don’t know what is.

All jokes aside, nothing tells you that you’re on the right track like when you see that your thinking falls in line with a person or business that you look up to and admire. Surely, Vogue has their content mapped out far in advance, so I’m not really saying that they copied me, but if there are Vogue spies watching over my shoulder, I am truly honoured.
