Happy New Month!
As we officially embark on month number five of 2017, it’s hard to believe that we’re already, almost halfway through the year! Despite my circumstances, I would say I’m handling things extremely well and remaining faithful that my ‘someday’ will be coming soon. My new coffee mug (seen above) has been a big help!
It has definitely been a year for transition. I’m making it a habit to do things I’ve never done, in an effort to live a life I’ve never lived. It has certainly caused a lot of disruption and for anyone else going through the same thing, I know it’s not easy but you too are holding strong, so I applaud you.
One thing I know for sure is that change is not pretty. It’s not feel-good, it’s not joy. It’s disgusting, messy, frustrating, painful. There are tears and feelings of loneliness, lowliness and uncertainty. You feel lost and like you have no idea what you’re doing. But a scripture in Proverbs reminds me that: A man’s steps are of the Lord, How then can a man understand his own way? (Proverbs 20:24)
So we need to stop stressing and trying to figure everything out on our own. If we let go and let God, there is joy and peace on the other side of change. And if we keep in mind that God is always in control and always working, we can experience joy and peace in the midst of change.
My prayer for us during the rigors of change is that we take up the whole armor of God. This is the time for us to exercise our trust in Him as well as our patience, perseverance, endurance and our faith. Cast away your fears and your doubts; keep moving forward and above all, BELIEVE in you and what you CAN do!
Have a great week!
