On March 16, 2019, over 150 women gathered together in the Globe & Mail Center to uplift and empower each other in celebration of International Women’s History Month at the Ryerson Women in Leadership ‘Power Moves’ conference.
I was recommended to be a speaker by How She Hustles, Emily Mills (thanks Em!) and I was immediately excited by the prospect of educating the next generation, especially since I am a Ryerson alumnus.
I’ll admit, I had not spoken in front of a crowd in a while, but once I got up there I felt that old thang coming back. The audience welcomed me with open arms and the rest was a breeze.

Some of the other awesome speakers that I got to hear were Professor Maja, author, sociologist and confidence builder; Ritu Bhasin, also an author and Diversity, Empowerment & Leadership Speaker; and lifestyle blogger Valeria Lipovetsky.
